Driving and fuelling with hydrogen
The hydrogen demonstration project of Clean Energy Partnership is one of the most significant projects of its kind in the world for testing hydrogen as a fuel in road transport with a variety of vehicles, fuel production lines and both liquid and compressed gaseous hydrogen. It is the largest project in Europe demonstrating the use of hydrogen as a fuel in everyday transportation. Berlin has two fuelling stations – one in Spandau and a temporary one in Margarethe-Sommerstrasse in Friedrichshain - so that the approximately 35 customer driven cars can refuel on a daily basis. The CEP is testing three different hydrogen production lines and two different types of hydrogen fuel.
