Stuttgart, Dezember 2013 - In Stuttgart, quiet, low-emissions city traffic has come one step closer to being a reality. Stuttgarter StraÃŸenbahnen AG (SSB) has now officially joined the Clean Energy Partnership (CEP), Europeâ€™s foremost project for testing the everyday use of hydrogen mobility. SSBâ€™s contribution to the CEP will be the use of initially three of the latest generation of fuel cell hybrid buses on a bus route in Stuttgart.
Leading industrial companies agree on an action plan for the construction of a hydrogen refuelling network in Germany
Munich / Stuttgart, September 2013 - The six partners in the "H2 Mobility" initiative - Air Liquide, Daimler, Linde, OMV, Shell and Total â€“ have set up upon a specific action plan for the construction of a nationwide hydrogen refuelling network for fuel cell-powered electric vehicles. By the year 2023 the current network of 15 filling stations in Germany's public hydrogen infrastructure shall be expanded to about 400 H2 filling stations.
Hamburg, September 2013 â€“ â€˜The sciences donâ€™t always have to be blueâ€™ is the slogan for mint: pink, a new programme by the Hamburg-based initiative Naturwissenschaft & Technik fÃ¼r MittelstufenschÃ¼lerinnen (Science & Technology for Middle School Girls). Therefore, it only makes sense that the latest customer vehicle in the CEP fleet should be pink. Managing Director Sabine Fernau ceremoniously received a Mercedes-Benz F-CELL at a reception attended by Berlinâ€™s Economics Senator Frank Horch and a lot of enthusiastic female students.
Berlin, July 2013 - The Clean Energy Partnership's fleet of vehicles has covered two million kilometres since 2005 - and without major incident. The nearly 100 fuel cell cars that are currently on the road as part of the project include Mercedes-Benz B-Class F-Cell, Ford Focus Fuel Cell, Honda FCX Clarity, Toyota FCHV-adv, Opel HydroGen4, VW Tiguan HyMotion and Audi Q5 HFC vehicles. In July of this year, two Hyundai ix35 Fuel Cell cars were added to the CEP vehicle fleet.
